This project comes from a valued returning customer in the Philippines, who had previously purchased a spider crane from us and was highly satisfied with its performance and reliability. The customer is the general manager of a local construction company, mainly engaged in building projects that require efficient lifting solutions in complex and confined environments. Based on the positive experience from the first cooperation, the customer approached us again with a new requirement—this time for three units of 12-ton spider cranes to support expanding project demands.

At the beginning of the discussion, the customer emphasized the importance of quality control and risk management for this larger order. To ensure confidence in the product before full production, both parties agreed on a phased production plan. We would first manufacture one unit for inspection and testing. Only after the customer completed the inspection and confirmed satisfaction would we proceed with the production of the remaining two units. This approach provided the customer with greater assurance while also demonstrating our confidence in product quality.

During the negotiation, we worked closely with the customer to finalize all technical specifications, including lifting capacity, boom configuration, safety systems, and operational requirements. Our engineering team provided detailed drawings, working parameters, and case references to support the decision-making process. The customer appreciated our professional response and clear communication throughout.

In terms of payment terms, we reached a mutually beneficial agreement. The customer arranged a 20% advance payment to initiate production. After the first unit was completed and successfully inspected, a further 70% payment was made before shipment. The remaining 10% balance was settled upon receiving the scanned copy of the original bill of lading. This structured payment plan ensured both financial security and smooth transaction flow for both sides.

Once the first crane passed all inspections, including functional testing and safety checks, the customer confirmed that it fully met expectations. We then immediately arranged production of the remaining two units, maintaining strict quality control at every stage. Our production team ensured consistency across all three cranes, while our logistics department coordinated shipment schedules to meet the customer’s project timeline.

This cooperation once again strengthened the long-term partnership between both parties. The customer expressed strong confidence in our product quality, flexible cooperation model, and professional service, and indicated that future projects would continue to prioritize working with us.

Important Factors to Consider Before Choosing a Spider Crane

Lifting Capacity Selection

One of the most critical factors is choosing the correct lifting capacity. Spinkranen are available in a wide range, from compact 1-ton models to heavy-duty units exceeding 12 tons. Contractors should carefully evaluate the maximum weight of materials to be lifted on-site and select a model with sufficient capacity, while also considering a safety margin for stable operation.

Working Radius and Boom Performance

The working radius determines how far the crane can reach while lifting a load. This depends on the boom length and extension configuration, including options such as fly jibs. A longer reach provides greater flexibility but may reduce lifting capacity at maximum extension, so it is important to balance reach and load requirements.

Machine Size and Site Accessibility

Before selecting a rupsspinkraan, it is essential to assess site access conditions, including entrance width, door height, floor load limits, and available working space. Compact models are designed to pass through narrow openings and operate in confined environments, making them ideal for indoor or urban projects.

Power System Options

Crawler spider cranes are available with different power systems, including diesel engines, electric motors, or dual power configurations. Diesel-powered models are suitable for outdoor construction sites, while electric options are preferred for indoor use due to low noise and zero emissions.

Transportation and Setup Efficiency

Vergeleken met traditionele kranen, rupsspinkranen are easier to transport and require minimal setup time. Their lightweight and compact structure allows for quick deployment, reducing downtime and improving overall project efficiency.

Safety and Operational Features

Advanced features such as load moment indicators, remote control systems, and automatic safety protections play a vital role in ensuring safe operation. Choosing a crane with reliable safety systems helps reduce risks and enhances job site performance.

When properly selected, a rupsspinkraan can greatly improve efficiency, reduce labor intensity, and provide a flexible lifting solution for complex and space-restricted projects.
