The first contact with this customer from the United Arab Emirates was established through Alibaba. The customer works for a local construction company and was looking for a compact lifting solution for high-altitude installation and maintenance work. Since this was their first purchase of a spider crane, they were not very familiar with the equipment specifications and required extensive technical support during the selection process.

At the beginning of the project, the customer only provided the lifting requirement: the crane needed to lift 500 kg at a working height of approximately 10 meters. Based on these parameters, our engineering team initially recommended an 8-ton spider crane. However, after further communication, the customer clarified that the actual working height requirement was 12 meters rather than 10 meters. Considering the increased lifting radius and height, we carefully recalculated the load chart and concluded that a 12-ton spider crane would provide the necessary safety margin and ensure reliable performance under real operating conditions.

In addition to the standard crane configuration, the customer also required a hydraulic fly jib and a man basket to expand the machine’s capabilities for various construction and maintenance applications. Detailed technical drawings, load charts, and configuration information were provided to help the customer fully understand the solution.

Another challenge involved shipping terms. The customer preferred a CIF quotation, but due to the uncertainty in international freight rates and the impact of regional conflicts on shipping routes, we explained the current market situation and recommended updating the CIF price after production was completed. The customer appreciated our transparency and agreed with this arrangement.
